You’re sure to have a lot of questions along the way.

Here are just some of the answers we want to provide upfront.

How much will it cost?

Each project is tailored to your specific needs and requirements, and no two are ever the same. 

After we have an initial chat about the type of content you’re after, we can usually provide a ballpark figure, to give you a sense of cost. Then, once we’ve received a detailed brief and have a solid understanding of your requirement, we’ll put together a project proposal and quote for your approval.

The cost of a production can include:

  • Research and writing

  • Sourcing archival or stock imagery

  • Location scouting

  • Casting actors

  • Studio hire

  • Equipment hire

  • Producer fees

  • Crew fees

  • Travel

  • Insurance

  • Edit suite hire

  • Music licensing

  • Miscellaneous costs

Can I get a discount?

We work with clients to devise a project scope that fits with your needs and budget.

While we can’t discount our fees, we can provide ideas for an alternative approach to production that may reduce the cost of the original concept. We’re more than happy to workshop this in conjunction with you, until we find a budget that works for all.

The best thing you can do to keep costs down is to provide any assets upfront, and to be timely with your feedback. When we all stay aligned to the project, we get the best result. A blown out schedule = a blown out budget, and no one wants that. 

We can also offer reasonable payment terms to approved clients: 50% of payment upfront, then 25% in 30 days, and the remaining 25% in 60 days.

How long will it take?

Again, it depends on the scope of your project.

There are many shifting parts that can all affect the schedule, such as how thorough the brief is upfront, how many stakeholders are involved in the approval process, whether there is time-sensitive footage to be captured (like an event), and the availability of interviewees. Some projects come with undeniable urgency, and we’ll always meet these head-on.

Our aim is to allow the right amount of time for our team of creatives to achieve their best, while ensuring your target is met. Let us know what your deadline is and we’ll work together to get it done.

What do you need from me?

Details – the more, the merrier. Information. References, if you like. Brand guidelines, if you have them – this can be as simple as your logo or business card design. Archival material, if required. Access to interviewees or your offices, if we are filming on-site.

Most importantly, we value your input, your feedback, and your trust.

Can I make changes?

Of course. (Within reason!) 

The magic of filmmaking is what gets us out of bed in the morning, and there is so much we can do to shape, enhance, improve and illuminate the footage we create. While we can’t claim to work miracles, we can certainly work with you to find another take, shorten a sentence, improve a design or restructure a story element to make sure we completely nail it.

We send you a work-in-progress for viewing by you and your stakeholders, and provide ample opportunity for feedback and comments throughout the entire process.

Once revisions have been made, we send you a final version for approval before the project is locked in and mastered.

Can I be on set for the filming?

Certainly, if time and set up allows for it. 

Whenever possible, we’ll welcome you into the studio or on location, so you can see firsthand the lights, camera and all the action of a video production.

Can I sit in the edit suite?

You probably won't need to. Editing is a painstaking process, especially in the initial stages. We often need to sort through hours of footage before the real fun begins.

What we will do is let you know when you can expect to see a work-in-progress – the best stage of the project for all involved, when we start to see all our hard work come together on-screen!

Can’t I just film it with my smart phone?

We don’t advise it!

Do you have an understanding of my industry?

We’re extremely comfortable with finance, tech, education, government, and retail, and adore the chance to service manufacturing, property, energy, environment, sustainability and innovation. 

Plus, we pride ourselves on our solid research abilities, so even unfamiliar terrain quickly becomes second-nature once we have the opportunity to dive in.

Do you have insurance?

Absolutely.

Fizz Farm is fully covered for Public Liability to the value of $20M, and Professional Indemnity to the value of $5M.
